Configure
ProxiesConfigure Unlimited Residential Proxies in the dashboard under Proxy configuration. Copy your API credentials, set targeting, then use the generated endpoint.
Open Proxy configuration
- Sign in to the Geonode dashboard.
- Under Proxies, open Unlimited Residential Proxies.
- Select the Proxy configuration tab.

API credentials
In API credentials, copy your Username and Password (use the copy controls next to each field). You can also generate a new password from this panel.
Keep credentials private
Never share or commit your real username and password. Always copy them from your own dashboard and replace the placeholders in examples.
Endpoints format
At the top of the configuration area, choose how endpoints are printed. In this example the format is:
hostname:port:username:passwordYou can also switch between DNS and IP:
| Mode | What you get |
|---|---|
| DNS | Hostname instead of a raw IP |
| IP | Numeric host |
Endpoints count controls how many endpoint lines are generated (set to 1 in the screenshot).
Example endpoint
With IP mode and rotating HTTP/HTTPS, an endpoint looks like this:
YOUR_PROXY_HOST:12000:YOUR_USERNAME:YOUR_PASSWORDBreak down the string
| Part | Value in the example | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Host | YOUR_PROXY_HOST | Proxy host from the dashboard (IP or DNS mode) |
| Port | 12000 | Port for this protocol + session type |
| Username | YOUR_USERNAME | API username (add targeting flags when needed) |
| Password | YOUR_PASSWORD | API password from the dashboard |
How each selection works
Gateway
Gateway is the entry point you connect to. On Unlimited Residential Proxies, the dashboard shows a United States gateway (for example United States 2).
US gateway
Unlimited Residential currently supports the United States gateway.
Country targeting
- Open Country targeting.
- Leave Any, or select a specific country.
When you select a country, the username can gain a country flag (for example -country-us). Leave Any when you do not need a country restriction.
OS targeting
- Open OS targeting.
- Leave Any, or select an OS when available.
Protocol and session type
| Setting in the screenshot | Value | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Protocol | HTTP/HTTPS | HTTP(S) proxy access |
| Session type | Rotating | New IP behavior across requests |
Choose Sticky under Session type when you need the same IP for a period of time. Sticky sessions can be managed under the Active sticky sessions tab.
Putting it together
With the screenshot selections:
| Control | Selected value |
|---|---|
| Endpoints format | hostname:port:username:password |
| DNS / IP | DNS (switch to IP for a numeric host) |
| Gateway | United States 2 |
| Country targeting | Any |
| OS targeting | Any |
| Protocol | HTTP/HTTPS |
| Session type | Rotating |
When your endpoint looks right, continue to Send Your First Request to use it in a live call.
