Geo targeting

OS targeting

Target proxy IPs associated with a device operating system. This is a username flag on proxy.geonode.io, not a separate HTTP management API.

Auth

Use your Geonode proxy username and password with the proxy URL.

Username syntax

OSFlag value
Windows-os-windows
Android-os-android
iOS-os-ios
macOS-os-mac
<geonode_username>-os-<os_value>:<geonode_password>

You can combine OS with session flags when needed (for example sticky lifetime), for example:

<geonode_username>-os-ios-lifetime-30-session-<session_id>

Parameters

NameInRequiredDescription
geonode_usernameproxy useryesDashboard proxy username
geonode_passwordproxy useryesDashboard proxy password
osusername flagyeswindows, android, ios, or mac
portproxy URLyesProxy port

Example

curl -x "http://proxy.geonode.io:<port>" \
  --proxy-user "<geonode_username>-os-windows:<geonode_password>" \
  "http://ip-api.com/json"

Response

ip-api.com does not return an OS field. A successful call only proves the proxy accepted the flag and returned an egress IP.

Example with -os-windows (HTTP 200, status: "success"):
