Exclude targeting
Exclude ASN
Exclude specific ASNs (Autonomous System Numbers) when assigning a proxy IP. This is a username flag on the proxy connection (proxy.geonode.io), not a separate HTTP management API.
Auth
Use your Geonode proxy username and password with the proxy URL.
Username syntax
| Form | Example username suffix |
|---|---|
| Single ASN | -not.asn-31898 |
| Multiple ASNs | -not.asn-31898,12271,7849 |
| ASN exclusion with country targeting | -country-US-not.asn-31898 |
Full proxy user string shape (with country targeting):
<geonode_username>-country-<COUNTRY>-not.asn-<asn>[,<asn>...]:<geonode_password>ASN values are numeric (no AS prefix in the flag).
Rules
- Use only one exclusion type per request. Do not combine
-not.asn-with-not.country-,-not.state-, or-not.city-. - You can combine positive
-country-targeting with-not.asn-.
Parameters
| Name | In | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
geonode_username | proxy user | yes | Dashboard proxy username (before flags) |
geonode_password | proxy user | yes | Dashboard proxy password |
country | username flag | optional | ISO country code to scope routing (for example US) |
not.asn | username flag | yes | Comma-separated ASN numbers to exclude |
port | proxy URL | yes | Proxy port from your plan / dashboard |
Example
curl -x "http://proxy.geonode.io:<port>" \
--proxy-user "<geonode_username>-country-US-not.asn-31898,12271:<geonode_password>" \
"http://ip-api.com/json"Response
The example URL is ip-api.com (IP check). The JSON is that service’s view of the egress IP, not a Geonode API schema.
The as field should not start with an excluded ASN when exclusion is applied successfully.
