Exclude city

Exclude specific cities when assigning a proxy IP. This is a username flag on the proxy connection (proxy.geonode.io), not a separate HTTP management API.

Auth

Use your Geonode proxy username and password with the proxy URL.

Username syntax

Form	Example username suffix
Single city	`-not.city-charlotte`
Multiple cities	`-not.city-charlotte,newyork,houston`
City exclusion inside a country	`-country-US-not.city-charlotte,newyork`

Full proxy user string shape (with country targeting):

<geonode_username>-country-<COUNTRY>-not.city-<city>[,<city>...]:<geonode_password>

City values are lowercase names without spaces (for example charlotte, newyork).

Rules

Use only one exclusion type per request. Do not combine -not.city- with -not.country-, -not.state-, or -not.asn-.
You can combine positive -country- targeting with -not.city-.

Response

The example URL is ip-api.com (IP check). The JSON is that service’s view of the egress IP, not a Geonode API schema.

city should not be one of the excluded cities when exclusion is applied successfully.
